Microsoft Recently Roll out the Windows 10 May 2021 Update for everyone with a number of new features , Security improvements, and bug fixes. Overall the upgrade process is smoother with fewer errors. But some users experience an unusual issue with App icons on the Start screen. Microsoft Store Apps missing from the start menu or the missing apps are no longer pinned in the win 10 Start Menu. After installing the Windows 10 version 21H1, some apps are missing from the Start Menu on some devices. The missing apps are no longer pinned in the Start Menu, nor are they in the list of apps. If I search for the app, its not able to find it and instead points me to the Microsoft Store to install it. But the Store says that the app is already installed. Or sometimes Corrupted system files, store app files may also cause this issue. Here some Applicable Solutions to fix Store Apps Missing on Windows 10 May 2021 Update. Repair or Reset the missing apps If you notice any specific App causing the problem, such as for example Microsoft Edge browser not opening, Showing Download arrow on the start menu pinned items, not appearing in Start menu / Cortana search results. Then Repair or Reset The missing App is found the helpful fix. Press Win + I keyboard shortcut to open Settings then Select Apps. Next, click on Apps & features tab, find the name of the missing app. Click the app and select Advanced options . You will found The Repair and Reset option. First Try to repair the App while may fix the errors, and Restart windows to take effect the changes. Or You can click on the Reset button to reset the App to its default settings. Note: Though you might lose any app data that was saved. Once the repair or reset is completed, the app should again appear in the app list and can be pinned to the Start Menu. Do the Same with other affected Apps which may resolve the issue. Reinstall the missing apps If after performing the Repair or Reset option still having the same issue then try to reinstall the missing app by the following below. Open Settings then select Apps. Now on The Apps & features tab, find the name of the missing app. Click the app and select Uninstall. Now Open Microsoft Store and then reinstall the missing app. Once installed, the app should appear in the app list and can be pinned to the Start Menu. Re-register the missing apps using PowerShell If you have lots of missing apps, Then Re-register the missing Apps to restore all of them at once using the following PowerShell commands. For this first need to run PowerShell As administrator. Now in the PowerShell window copy/past bellow command and hit enter to execute the same. get-appxpackage -packagetype main
